001. EXHIBITION DIDACTIC: Lena Bishop is a multi-disciplinary artist and creative, valuing creativity, connection and community above all. Aiming to be unapologetically and passionately creative, exploring all areas of design, photography, art and earth. “Eucalyptus” is a project that explores the relationship between the artist the and the tree in different mediums- with an emphasis on slow, simple, and sustainable. I have a background in photography, illustration and graphic design, but in my artistic practice I like to focus on the world around us, and am inspired by the natural living world, particularly Australian native species. My slow travels around Australia over the past few years have instilled in me a profound sense of gratitude for the land we inhabit, leading to a significant shift in my artistic practice, that now focuses on sustainability. In “Eucalyptus” these themes are explored through the mediums of photography, digital illustration, eco dyed fabric with gum leaves, recycled paper making and using recycled frames.

UniSC Sunshine Coast
Symbiosis explores relationships between art and design and the world around us, and includes projection, augmented reality design, photography, illustration, interactive media, sound design, games and fashion in an immersive exhibition showcasing the work of over 50 design students.
Design at UniSC is an interdisciplinary program with dynamic pathways that encourage students to discover their creativity and develop critical thinking through experimentation in an inclusive and exploratory environment. Through project-based learning and collaborations, students discover the increasingly important role design plays in the world, with opportunities to specialise in interactive media, digital culture, game design or visual communication. This versatile interdisciplinary program equips students with theoretical knowledge, creative skills, cultural awareness and critical thinking to imagine and shape a future that is changing rapidly by design.
004. “The Bush Witch Brew“
Double, double toil and trouble,
Bush witch brew and cauldron bubble.
Leaves of eucalyptus, green and wise,
In the cauldron, watch them rise.
Kookaburras laughter and possums grace,
Dye portals open, in this enchanted place.
Tannin secrets, earthen colours we embrace.
In this native brew, bush witches collaborate.
Bark, seeds and leaves, in our cauldrons hold,
Dancing with care, their stories to be told.
For a charm of earthly splendour true,
Bush witches unite, and colours will renew.
005. * note : the a4 illustration was printed at officeworks in a last minute deadline scramble, higher quality archival prints pending + hopefully coming in stock on the shop soon !
